Blackhawks give Bolland five-year deal

06/30/2009 - Chicago, IL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed center Dave Bolland to a five-year deal on Tuesday.

Bolland, Chicago's 32nd overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, appeared in 81 of the Blackhawks' 82 games last season, where he had career highs in goals (19), points (47), and assists (28). During his Stanley Cup Playoff debut, Bolland had eight assists and 12 points while appearing in all 17 postseason games for Chicago, which lost in five games to the Detroit Red Wings in the Western Conference Finals this past season.

In 121 career games with Chicago, Bolland has tallied 41 assists and 23 goals to go along with 80 penalty minutes.

Also on Tuesday, the club re-signed center Jacob Dowell to a two-year deal and goaltender Antti Niemi to a one-yeaR deal.

Terrell Owens could return for Cowboys next game
